Proceedings of the Civil Service Doard meeting held Monday, January 13. 1964.
The Clearwater Civil Service Board met in regular session Monday evening, January 13,
1964 at 7:30 ~.M. in the Civil Service Office.
Members present:
George H. Dalby, Chairman, llarold Wallace. R. M. Thompson, Sr.
and John F. Starr.
Observers:
James R. Stewart, City Manager and Earl Emmons. Reporter.
Meeting called to order by Chairman Dalby.
Reported on resignations. Mr. Starr moved that the resignations of James G. Miller,
Recreation Leader, Harold E. Bridges. Firefighter. J. R. Shaner, Garage Superintendent,
Roy Armstrong, Equipment Operator, Parks and Recreation Department, Edwin N. Brandl,
Toll Attendant, John J. Harris, Refuse Collector and Robert O. Roscoe. Laborer,
Parks. and Recreation Department be accepted. Mr. Wallace seconded the motion which was
'du1.Y carried.

Director read letter from Director of Parks and Recreation asking that Mr. Elmer Bridges
be reinstated as he has been on military leave and would now like to return to work.
Mr~ Wallace moved that Mr. Bridges be reinstated in tbe usual manner from military leave.
Seconded by Mr. Thompson. Motion carried.
Director read letter from Clarence J. Hunter. formerly truck driver in Refuse Division,
asking for withdrawal of his resignation. Mr. Thompson moved that the Board grant him
the permission to withdraw his' resignation. Seconded by Mr. Starr. Motion carried.
Mr. Starr moved that the Board racify the action of the Director in approving the
establishment of one additional position of Draftsman I. Seconded by Mr. Thompson and
motion carried.
