Meeting called to order by Chairman Dalby.
Mr. Thompson moved that the minutes of August 12, 1963 be adopted as written.
Seconded by Mr. Starr. Motion carried.

Reported on resignations. Mr. McFarland moved that the resignations of Alma Bonnett,
Secretary I, Fire Department, Richard W. Cope, Special Assistant to Personnel
Director, James R. Kyler, Rodman, Joseph W. Mulholland, Rodman, Robert L. Haworth,
,Patrolman, Robert W. Auger, Patrolman, Dorothy L. Baker, Parkette, James A. Sanders,
Laborer, Parks and Recreation Department, J. D. Greek, Laborer, Parks and Recreation
Department, Odell Monroe, Refuse Collector, Raymond Golden, Refuse Collector,
Carl Lang, Jr., Refuse Collector, Sandra Sue Killion, Recreation Department,
Frank Oktavec, Recreation Department and Ruth L. Jones) Recreation Department be
accepted. Seconded by Mr. Thompson. Motion carried.
Director read letter from Acting City Manager requesting that a new position of
Tabulating Equipment Operator II, Range 16, be established within the Utilities
Department. Mr. ThomPson moved that the request of the City Manager for a new
position of Tabulating Equipment Operator II be granted. Seconded by Mr. McFarland.
Motion carried.
Director read letter from City Manager asking that the position of Clerk II, Range 10,
be established as a permanent position within the Municipal Court. Mr. Wallace moved
that the City Manager's request be granted. Seconded by Mr. McFarland. Motion
carried.

Mr., Barlonan, former refuse driver for the City asked for the Board's permission to
act as spokesman for 15 collectors who were waiting outside. He stated they Hould
, like to discuss the strike and try to 'get the matter settled. He was told by the
Chairman, that the matter had not been presented to the Board as yet and was not a
matter they'- could handle at this time.
