Motion carried. Mr. Stewart said that the Pension Advisory Committee has .
reconmcnded that Captain Daniels be placed on a disability pension and he \dll
receive approximately $173.00 pel" month for as long an his disability Q)dsta. .

Director discussed with the BOard the way he \<1ould like to conduct the next
examination for Colored Recreation Supervisor II. It was the concensus of
opinion by the Board that the normal six months waiting period before retaking
an. examination should be wnived in this particular instance because of the
addition of the oral portion to the examination.
HrEl,. Bissell moved that the Personnel Director be instructed to re-advertisc
the examination for Recreation Supervisor II which would be open to all ,
, qualified applicants including those who had written either of the'two previous
examinations. Such examination to be in two parts -- written and ora1~ and
only those applicants who made a grade of 6~!o or more on the written test to

be admitted to the oral portion of the examination. Further) that the Personnal
Director:be authorized to establish the respective weights for the written and
oral parts~ Seconded by Mr. .McFarland. Motion carried.

Director'brought up the matter of John Washnock~ Distribution Serviceman II
.~n\oresigned in August.and would now like to be reinstated. The matter .has been
. discussed with Mr. Nelson and Mr. Taylor and ~tt. Nelson feels it is not fair to
, other emPloyees from a promotional standpoint to take a man back in the same
position; .Nr. ,McFarland moved that 'this matter be tabled for the next meeting.

Dire.ctor asked the Board about the propriety of a fireman officiating as umpire
. . for the'Recreation Department. lott.' Moore~ Recreation Department \"ould like to .
have Dan Wells umpire Bome soft ball games. Board agreed that no employee can
hold~two jobs with the city and thought this arrangement would be improper.
