V' Civil Service Board of Clearwater met in regular session Tuesday evening, November 17, 1959, in the Civil Service office. 114 North Osceola Avcnue. Members present: Chairman R. B. Mauney; W. U. Birchall; Charles Coit;Gcorge Dalby. Member Jack Russell absent due to his being out of town. Guests: Miss Jean Gates, Secretary Employees' Association; Mr. Robert Tench, Attorney; Patrolman Harold O. Peterson. Police Department; Arthur 11. Heath, Fire Department; Chairman Mauney called the meeting to order and asked for a reading of the minut~8 of previous meeting. Read and approved. Discussion with Mr. Tench, Attorney for Employees' Association. regarding a copy of Civil Service Rules. The members argued that it was not necessary for the employees to have an attorney to explain their rights and privileges. It is duty of Department Head, City Manager and Civil Service Board. Agreed to furnish copy of rules in the present state with copies available when review and rewriting of present rules has been completed. \' Police Department l , .
