The meeting was called to order by Acting Chairman Wilson at 8:40 a.m., in the
Op.erations Center Conference Room.
Menna Motel - U. S. 19 Southt located on West side of U. S. 19
South, approximately 200 feet South of Druid Road. (Menna)
REVISED FINAL SITE PLAN - APPROVED WITH CONDITIONS
Nick Lewis - Commented the fire hydrant be located on the site as required by
the Fire Marshal.
Ed. Bethel - Discussed the need for separate permits for the swimming pool and
signs. ,He also suggested a preliminary construction review with the Building
. Inspection Department.
John Rooks - Requested an easement be provided over the water lines up to and
including the meters and hydrants.
., Claude Howell - Commented the dumpster location be approved by the Sanitation
Superintendent.

Paula Harvey - Discussed the need for adjustments in the density calculations.
rhe calculations should be revised to reflect the net area of 53,627 square feet
which will provide for 50 motel units and one manager's residence.
Chris Cowles - Expressed the following concerns: the retention pond around the
Northwest corner be bermed; requested the berm configurations be worked out before
. building permitting; a notation be included regarding the size configuration of
.. . the berm; and at the time of building permitting, a detailed landscape plan be
provided. ~Ir. Cowles further stated that tree permits will be required before
tree removal, and clearing and grubbing'peTlllits must be obtained from the
Environmental/Engineering Division.

Don Mccriuns - Discussed the need to coordinate dumpster locations with the
Sanitation and Environmental Divisions.

Paula Harvey - Moved approval of the Final Site Plan subject to the following
changes being mnde prior to certification of the plan:
1.
That 'the fire hydrant be located on the site as required by the Fire
Marshnl.

1. That easements be provided over the water liijes up to and including the
meters and hydrants.
2. That a 40 foot right-of-way easement be given on U. S. 19 as shown on the
plan.
3. That the final. retention design is to be approved by the City Engineer with
the berming of the retention area to be reviewed by the City Forester.
4. That landscape plans be submitted with the final construction drawings.
5. That existing landscaping around the ditch be preserved to the greatest
. extent possible.
6. And that the building permit be issued within six months from the date of
approval and the project completed within two years.
