Mr. Paroby has been appointed Chairman by Mr. Shoemaker. Warren Renando has been asked to - act as Vice Chairman. Mr. Renando also will submit summaries of all meetings and will present the items to be discussed. The first-item discussed by the Committee was the waiver of the CIS for Deve~:i:~~1tties. After a discussion of a few minutes, a motion was ~ . foy Mr. Paroby to approve the waiver of'the CIS for Develin properties. Motion was/1seconded and carried. " '"i1~tkl The second item for discussion'was a request from Mr. Loken to waive the CIS for his property. Mr. Henderson made the motion to waive the CIS for Mr. Loken's property. Motion was seconded and carried. 'A statement was made to the effect that whenevar a significant downzoninq occurs a waiver of the CIS is considered policy. ,f) The third and, final item for discussion was the CIS from U. S. ,.Home of Florida. Mr. Renando stated that this meeting was in the nature of a preliminary meeting and not to be considered a final meeting. It was the general consensus of the Committee that the report submitted by U. S. Engineering \~ould like to see a ten year design for tne storm collection system. They request additional information from U. S. Home of Florida. Planning Department has problems with the market analysis of commerical zoning request. A meeting will be requested between U. S. Home's economist and the Planning Department. Environ- mental comments have been SUbmitted to U. S. Home and no major problems exists. Traffic Engineering has no problem with the rezoning. Thare are some minor problems with street alignment. Parks and Recreation needs are met by U. S. Home1s CIS. There is no problem with the abandonment of the five acre park site. The City Forester stated that the CIS uses the same example in the north and south and the rezoning and annexation for tree value. The Environmental Planner stated that he has problems with their tree assessment values and vegetation, but nothing major. Mr. Alexander commented on the excellent quality of the report. Mr. Paroby asked that if anyone has any problems with the CIS to make sure that they let the Planning Department in on it. copies 'of correspondence to U. S. Home should also be forwarded to Planning. ',! , " , . ;.:~ '. '".t~.: . Mr. .Paroby also asked if there will be ramping" of sidewalks avail- ,able for the handicapped. It was brought out by Traffic Engineering that it is now a state law in regards to ramps for the handicapped. When plans are received by Engineering, this matter will be taken care of. '!:.;:' ;. '~. . ',' The Resource Development committee has accepted th~ CIS for review and comment and U. S. Home is aware of the problems we are having. " . .Mr. Renando then brought up the subject of the new CIS ordinance, a copy of which had been forwarded previously to the various depart- ments. This newelS ordinance incorporates all comments and suggestions for changes which have been received in the Planning Department. ~fter. a brief discussion the motion was made to send the draft 'to the Attorney's office for final drafting. was seconded and carried.
