hearing re application for annexation and zoning.

Request: CG, Ceneral Business
Motion was ulade by Mr. Butler, seconded by Mr. Morris, to recommend approval of above
. request. Motion carried unanimously. Zoning request is in conformance with the
Comprehensive Plan. Office usage intended is more restrictive than zone; complements
extended business center services established to the north.
2. Begin 89.58 ft. Sand 100 ft. W of the NE corner of NE 1/4 of NE 1/4,
Sec. 7-29-16, thence S 641 ft., W 236 ft., N 49l ft., northeasterly 280 ft.
along S line of SR 590 to p.o.n., together with abutting streets (Bernfe1d et al)
Request: CTF, Commercial-Tourist Facilities
M~tion was made by Mr. Reade, seconded by Mr. Schutzcndorf, to recommend approval of
above request, with 10 ft. easement on the south and west, 17 ft. to be dedicated for
proposed SR 590 (quit claim deed), and 40 ft. access road easement for US 19. Motion
carried unanimously. Motel usage appears reasonable and within tlle intent of the
Comprehensive Plan (Medium Density). Traffic generation is limited by the specific usage
assigned and,thus, docs not contribute to a traffic problem. Location of usage is
strategic'arid necessary for expanding tourist facility corridor to Clearwater and
Clearwater Beach.
3. Lot 34, Block. 4, Virginia Groves Estates, 1st Addn., together with
, abutting streets (Hayman)
Request: RS 50, Single Famd.ly
Motion was made by Mr. Schutzcndo~f, seconded by Mr. Cummings, to recommend approval
of'above request. Motion carried unanimously. Zoning requested confonns to the
Comp~ehensive Plan and with pla~ting Dnd building in the abutting area.

Motion was made by Hr. Dutler, seconded by Hr. Hylandcr, to recommend denial of above
request nnd, in lieu thereof. recorrmend RH 16 as agreed to by the applicant. Motion
carriqd. Nr. Morris abstained. Request is in accordance with medium density of the
Comprehensive Plan. Request reduces potential business area at Nursery Rd. and US 19
intersection, thus reducing traffic generated and traffic congestion.
5. Lot 8, DelOra Gardens Sub., together with abutting streets (lmaz)
Request: RS 50, Single Family
Motion was made by ~Ir. Reade, seconded by Mr. Cummings, to recommend approval of above
,request. Notion carried unanimously. Request is in conformance with the Comprehensive
Plan and with lot and building standards in the abutting area.
6. Lot 9, Block F, Oak Acres Addn., Unit 1, together with abutting streets
Request: RS 50, Single Family (Severino)
Motion was made by Mr. Rende~ seconded by Hr. Mylandcr, to recommend denial without
prejudice of above request due to non-appearance of the applicant and/or hi8 re-
presentative. Motion carried unanimously.
Determination & Establishment of Zoning - Properties to be Annexed by Referendum:
1. Block F and G, Floridena Sub.~ together with abutting streets
2. Shadowlawn Sub., together with abutting streets
3. Clearwater Manor Sub., toge ther wi th abu t ting 5 tree ts, lesB and excep t those
lots presently within the City limits of the City of Clearwater
Motion was made by Mr. Reade, seconded by Mr. Butler, to recommend that Block F and G,
Floridens Sub., and Shadowlawn Sub. be set at RS 50, Single Family for referendum.
Motion carried unanimously. Plats conform to lots and building setbacks for the RS 50,
~ingle Family zoning. Land use is Single Family.
Clearwater Manor Sub. was removed from the public hearing process by action of the
City Commission on Oc~ober 2, 1972.
