at the reconvened meeting at 3:15 P. M. The pending business was the
request for review and direction by Mr. W. C. Carmichael in regard to
a development plap submitted at the meeting of May 28/68. Althoueh this
had been referred to the Subdivision Committee, ~embers attending the
above public hearing decided that the Board if possible should consider
reviewing this matter as a committee of the whole.
The Planner presented at this time an overlay to the plan sub-
mitted. Such overlay indicated~-
The provision for turnaround at the west end of the tract.

Such study shoNed the possible necessity of remov~ng one
8-unit building or accepting the alternative of redubing
the space between buildinss as proposed. The Plnnner also

stated that buildine arr~neemcnt within the center of the
tract mirht provide more open space for the plnnncd ~ccrea-
tional area but may reduce the amount of parking spaces as
indicated (a l:atio over 1-1/2 spaces per uni t).
After considerable discussion, the Board agreed unanimously that Mr.
Carmichael should be informed that: (1) Plan No. 3 is the preferred
plan; (2) the number of units be reduced 10% (80 to 72); (3) a turn-
around be indicated at the west end of the property--such turna~ound to,
have an outside radius of not less than 50 feet; (4) no structure
facing or rearing to a property line (long portion parallel to lot
line) shall be closer than 25 feet to that property line (ends may be
retained with fifteen feet setback)~ A motion was nassed i.n accordance
to the above chan~es and additions to be recommended for Plan No. 3
to be resubmitted by Hr. Carmichael.

The Planner agreed to determine through the Legal Department the
procedure that would follow upon receiving resubmitted plans. The'
Carmichaels would be inforrr:ed of this expected procedure. Planner was
so directeq to consider these plans similar to the plan requirements
of the PUD-R'in order that all necessary,information mieht be available
to the Engineering Department ,and other agencies involved. It was
recognized that the plan would be the base for the recommended chanees
in the deed restrictions of record and final approval by the City
Commission.
MI", Mylander, Vice Chairman, took over the chai,r before final
Board action on the Carmichael plan in order tllat the Chairman might keep
another appointment.
