The meeting was called to order at 3~50 p~ Ml by the Chairman,
Kruse. . Present were Members tley, Butler~ Reade and Galloway.

The Chairman informed the Board of requestl zoning recommenda-
ticn for parcel as described in Stuart So Goldins) Inc., Petition for
Annexation, as filed, (containing 3~39 acres M. D. Lo). Survey<rnap
submitted by the petitioner was studied and discussedn Property was
located on office maps as in proximity to the right-of-way of U~ So
19 (in City), and land use and zoning in the area was reviewed. Com-
mittee Member Butler reported on hi~ field survey of the site and its
I'~.~. intended use for a neighborhood type shopping center. Observation was

made concerning zoning history of the tract involving a prior pro-
posed annexation by the City of Safety Harboro The Engineeringrepre-
sentative reported that planned extension of city utilities would pro-
bably make sewer and water facilities available to this siteo
After some further discussion, the Board voted to recommend (SC)

Comment was made tha~ former Governor LeRoy COllins, the scheduled
. speaker for.the Thursday luncheont had found it necessary to cancel
his .comrni tmen-t due to the ul'gency of a meeting which required his
attendance in Washlngton on"that same dayo It was learned that'nego-
tiations were in process to confirm a substi tU'te luncheon speaker.
