06/28/1966 THE Pl.ANNIHG AND ZONING BOARD / ........ ~ Minutes of the Meeting, Tuesday, June 20, 1866. The meeting was called to order at 3:30 P. M. by the Chairman. Mr. Kruse. Present were M~mbers Reade, Mylandcr, Williams and Galloway, M~. Rettig of the EngineerinR Department, and Mr. Wolle. The minutes of the meeting of June 7, 1966, were approved as submitted in written summation to each member. ZONING FOR ANNEXATIONS: The Planner informed the Board of request for zoning recommenda- tion for the following two properties as made in memo from the City Manager dated June 21-66. The Planner located the property on office maps and pointed out the land use of adjoining tracts and the intended use of subject propertYQ The Engineering representative reported that the parcel would become contiguous by reason of the annex- ation of a southwest segment of road right-of-way; further, that the existing bowling alley is already served by City sewer through arrangement made at the time it was built. The Planner recommended "B" zoning as compatible with the present County1s commercial zoning and stated that he would further recommend that 17 ft~ additional right-of-way be re- quested for NE Coachman and Belcher Roads to complete the major street requirement of 50 foot half right-of-way for each of these two major roads. One dissentinR vote WAS based on the disparity of county and city requirements and the feeling that it was desirable to adhere to more similar standardso (b) LIVE OAK COURT - Lake Ave, and Jeffords - Request~ R-IC Zoning The Planner located the property on office maps and pointed out the land use of adjoining tracts and the intended use of subject property for a single-family subdivision~ for which the master plan had been previously approved by the BOd~d (Jano 11/66). A copy of the proposed plat submitted by the a?- plicant was studied~ The Planner recommended R-ID zoning to conform to the lot frontage proposed in the platt in that one half of the lots do not have the 75v minimum width requirement for an R-1C zoning as requested. Mr. Kruse commented on the uoual procedure each year after T the completion of appointments to hold an election of officers. He suggested that such election be deferred until a subsequent meet- ing when a larger representation of members would be present~ R~R~rt on Pinell~~ Plannin6 ~ouncil - Mr. Kruse reported that the report on the Mid-County Area had been approved by 'the Sub- Committee and would be presented for approval to the full Council on July l3~ An invitation was extended to any interested members to attend this meeting. It was announced that a copy of the re- port in question was available to members in the Planning Office and that any of the reports made by the Area Study Committee of the Council would also be on file for office referenceu Mr~ Kruse stated that one of the most important projects currently being initiated (.- " was to try to get an extension of 1-75 into the northern part of the CountYa It was also learned that the Area Study Committee was just beginning a study of Upper Pinellas. Report on Master Plan Mo~ningside Estates - Mr. Kruse read copy of a letter to Max Battle from Blackburn B~others Land Development Co. dated Jun 6/66, in regard to request and comment of master plan approval on Morningside Estates. Such items of content were covered in letter May 19/66 of the Planning and Zoning Board to the City En- gineer (of record in the Planning & Zoning Board office).
