Present were Members Harries, Mylander, Butler, Williams and Galloway, Mr. Rettig of the Engineering ,Departmonts and Mr~ Wolle~ The minutes of the meeting of February 15, 1966, were approved as submitted in written summation to each membero COMMERCIAL ADVERTISING SIGN APPLICATION - SUNAD - -.. CAS #B4 ....-.. BASKIN (OWNER) - DISPLAY NON-COMMITTED Double-faced - 300 Sq. Ft. - 24 feet high Location 280 ft. west of Sky Harbor Drive, south side Gu1f-to-Bay Blvd. The Planner presented above application with addition~l informa- tion that its location was immediately to the west of the St. Pete Pumping Station, that sign was to set back 15 ftQ from the right-of way and to be 5 ft. from a building; he referred, to previous recent Board actions in disapproval of double-faced signs as non-conform- ing to the Board's proposed ordinance. Mro Wolle offered a sug- ,gestion that the Board might want to defer action in the matter based on the scheduled consideration of the.proposed sign ordinance 1077 at the next f1onday's City Commission meeting. It was then u voted th~t.action on si~n applica!ion CAS #84 be deferred because of the proximity of hearing ~~ the proposed ordinance. REVIEW OF ORDINANCE 1077. CONTROL OF SIGNS - (in preparatlon for hearing 3/7/66) The Planner conducted an informal review of an answer sheet en- titled' "Comments on Sugpestions presented on Sign Ordinance", This he explained was prepared after consul~ation between the Planner, Mr. Mylander, and Mr. Kruse in answer to questions and cowments for- warded from,the City A"ttorneY1 which had been compiled from return ..../ l~tters received from'sign interests involved in on-premise siens, to which copies of Ordinance 1077 had been distributed.
