The meeting ~aa called to order at 3:00 P. M. by the Chairman,
Hr. Kl~use. Present were t1embers My1ander, Harries, Reade. t Galloway,
Butler and 11ey, Hr. Rettig of the Engineering Department, and Mr.
Wolle. The Chainnan welcomed Hr. Harries back after a summer leave
of absence..
The minutes of the meeting of October 12, 1965, were approved
as submitted in written summation to each member..

Pa~cel was described to the Boa~d as an east-west strip, approxi-
mately 120 ft. in depth, adjoining on the south the plat of Oak Grove
Estates Subdivision. A photomap and drawing Showing land use and zoning
in the area was studied and discussed. Mr. Galloway pointed out houses
on the opposite side of Lakeview extended which, in his opinion, would
be in a price bracket of $30,000 or more and the locations of recently
constructed homes in Oak Grove Subdivision. He expresseo as the Com-
mittee's opinion that to grant the requested change to R-4 zoning might
jeopardize the value of residential property to the north and south of
the parcel. He stated that members felt that residents in the devel-

oper!s own subdivision wou~d object to any condominium type apartment
or multi-story structure, which would be permitted under R-4 zoning;
further, that i.t was considered that the shape and size of the parcel
was suitable for single family platting and such platting was shown
on the original pre liminary subdi vis ion plans s ubmi tted by the de..
veloper. Mr. Hettig gave a brief resume of the zoning history in'~

R-2, Duplex, was discussed. Such pt'oposal concerning duplex zoning
was not approved.

ceived (10/18) stenciled copies of suggested additions which had been
prepared for discussion with the Realtors Commi~teeo Mr. Wolle re-
ported that Mr~ Shafer had been in his office and discussed these
listed items with him, but that Mr. Shafer was rese~ving comment for
discussion with other members of his committee. Mr. Wolle further re-
ported that reference copies for the realtors committee had been dis-
tributed to Mr. Shafer at that time.
Prior to review of these additions; Mr. Gallc)way submitted a
suggestion that the Board might present its ordinance proposals in
sections to facilitate an earlier Com~ission consideration of revi-
sions rel<'lting only to Outdoor Advertising (Off Premise) signs and
offer the possibility for acceptance of some sections, in the event.
that there were objections to certain others.. Afte~ some discussion,
it was agreed that meetings with the Realtors Committee should con-
tinue the next Tuesday J if this could be arranged, and 'tf\at during the
week Chairman Kruse would try to get some indication as to co~~ission
preference in regard to the presentation of an ordinance in sections
