The only members pro8ant were Ghairnian Kruse and i.ir. Reade and a
quorum could not be conven?td. However, the application of Hillebora &
Updyke was discussed and it was decided that a report should be made
to the City Manager on this matter in view of its urgency and the
promise of the Planning Board at its last meeting to report this week.
Members Stuler, Reade and Kruse made inspections of the proposed trailer
park site and several blocks of the surrounding area. The area at
i present is occupied by low-cost homes, some trailers, and a slaughter
house on Betty Lane north of Pinellas Avenue. It is the opinion of the
Board, members, who examined conditions, that a well-built and well-kept
trailer park would improve the area and might tend to increase property
values
This opinion was discussed with member Driver on the telephone and
he agreed with th members Kruse, Stuler and :?eade that the Planning Board
recommend that the Zoning Board reconsider the application of Hilleboe
& Updyke in the light of present conditions in the area surrounding the
proposed trailer park
However, the Board recommends that the developer be asked to dedicate
sufficient right--of-way on the -west side of the proposed trailer park
to make Betty Lane a 60, S -rGet. 'resent Cotuity cups indicc:te that the
adjacent dedicated right-of-way (in Oakland Hei.g).ats auhdivision) is for
a half- iddth street only.
