The meeting was called to order at 3:00 P.M. and the minutes of the previous meeting were approved. Nr. Homer reported on statistics that he will present at the FPZA Conference late this month. The priorities on roadway construction eiven to the State Road Board by the City Commission \'Iere read and discussed briefly. It was " agreed that the Planning Board should not uree any changes in the pro- '- ~' posed schedule at this time. It was moved, seconded and passed unanimously that the Chairman and Vice 'Chairman be constituted a committee to request the City Com- mission to propose to the County Commission that "M R P' be adopted as a part of the approved County Road proeram and made a prerequisite to " the acceptance of s\lbdivision plats in all respects including minim1..tr..l , " " standards for dedications of'roadway rights-of-vlay. , The next 1l1a tter cons idered \'laS a request for rezoning of the 1l'Iood- mere section in the vicinity of 3kycrest. The requGst was made by R. L. 'Baker and L. A. Jackson owners, and \-las referred to the Plannin~ Board by City Engi~eer Lickton. After examination the Board a~reed that its only interest in the matter is the effect that the proposal Ini~ht have on Mars Avenue. The Board considers i~tars Avenue to be u nieghborhood street only and that there is no prospect of it becorninr:; a oollector street or an arterial.
