Minutes of meeting Thursday July 19, 1956 in Plannin~ Board Office
Present were members Kruse, Homer, Reade, Levison and Norton.
The meeting was called to order at 3:15 P.M.
The minutes of the previous meeting were approved.
The plan for the West Terminus of Highway 60 on Clearwater Beach,
as prepared by Chairman Kruse, showing the proposed roadway arrangement
and traffic pattern was approved unanimously. It is to be sent to the
City Commission with a letter of transmittal explaining its features.
Mr. Reade reported that he had discussed Ordinance 632 in its re-
lationship to "14 R 1" with Messrs Lickton, Anderson, Krentzman and
Middleton, all of whom recommended that no major revision to Ordinance
632 should be proposed at this time. Instead it was the general opinion,
that a separate ordinance or an ordinance supplementing Ordinance 632
should be prepared to implement "M R Iff. Mr. Lickton stated that
Ordinance 632 had proved entirely satisfactory with two exceptions:
One, there is no provision restricting the dedication of half streets
and two, there is no limitation on block lengths. City Attorney Krentz-
man had suggested that the Board request the City Commission to instruct
the City Attorney to prepare an ordinance to support IfM R In.
Some of the members present felt that the Board already has suf-
ficient authority to request the City Attorney to draft such an ordinance
but after some of the members left the meeting, it \"Ias further discussed
and generally agreed that this was not the case. Thereupon the Chairman
stated that at the City Commission meeting Monday July 23, he would
request that the City Attorney be asked to draft such an ordinance.
The'meeting adjourned at 5:00 P.M.
Respectfully submitted
