Present were membo."s Kruse" Harries, Reado" HOJnor and Norton" Niclc Rompon of the City Engineer's Orrice and Joe Devlin or the Cloarwater Sun. The minutes of the previous meeting wero approved as read. ~~. Homer moved and Mr. Reade seconded the following motion: "The Board extends to one of its members, Ross B. Norton" sincere wishes for a long nnd happy life on the occasion of his retirement rrom aotive duty with the Seaboard Airline Railroad and further expresses the hope that the Board may recieve the benefit of lULs valuable advice and services for many years to come." The motion was unanimously adopted. }.Ir. Kruse rCIlorted that next year's meeting of' the Florida Planning and Zoning Association will be held in Clearwater. Discussion ~ollowed on entertairunent of the delegates and attractions lmich should be pro- vided for their wives. Mr. Kruse suggested that the Christmas luncheon of the Board be held at the Ft. Harrison Hotel instead of the Yacht Club sj.nce the cooperation of the hotel lnll be needed for next year's meeting of the Florida Planning and Zoning Association. All present agreed that this change should be made and it was left to }~. Kruse to make arrangements with the hotel. Hr. Reade lUoved and. Hr. Homer seconded and it was unanimously carried tlmt ~~. Lickton and ~w. Rompon be invited to the luncheon. Hr. Homer suggested that the luncheon at the hotel on December 22" 1955" ahould be used for a revieH of all the activities of the Board and results to date. Nr. Mr. Kruse resumed discussion of the Jacksonville meeting and particularly of off-street parking plans and parking lot stamp plans which were discussed at that meeting. No for,mnl action was taken. Mr. Homer again urged that the BOlrd concentrate on the completion of the traffio artery plan and endeavor to avoid being diverted to other matters suoh as zoning and parking problems.
