Markley and carried that the City Attorney be instructed to prepare the necessary papers to present to the Legislature to have the chnr-ter revised so as to allow the City to make the millage 25 instead of 20 mills and change the clause relating to laying side-walks so the whole cost 'can be , asses e3d .against the abutting property. Ilfayor Booth addressed Council stating that he believed that most of the property in Clearwater was only assse'ssed at a fifty per cent' valuation. Supt. of the Prater Works Schwabel resented a bill from Frank ' T'.S,Hallowell Co., for wiring the new water works, amounting to 1 218.24 . Schv?abel also stated that 5 property owners in the colered section of the City asked for City water, and said it would take about 900 ft. of pipe to ` make the connections at an approximate coat of about :;?.10.00, which would make an additional income of about 05.00 per year.
