Mrs, Delisle Hagerdorn presented two letters to the'Counoilfor
their consideration$ one from the Pinellas County Federation of Women s
Clubs requesting cooperation in establishing a clinic in Clearwater for."

purpose, and the other letter was from the Clearwater Woman's Club
endorsing the proposition. The Council informed Mrs. Hagerdorn that
they could take no action at this time as the park was not yet in pose-

the council to keep the request in mind when the Park comes into the
possession of the City.

to widen, the Street from Cleveland to Franklin Street for sidewalk, and

Mr John Thomson asked Council to take some action to, have electric "

on the Bay as the wires were injuring the trees. He suggested that they

' Mr. Viorden stated after tearing out the City Dock that it was
in worse condition than was anticipated at firsts and that he was only ?
using good material in the work. He said that some complaint ryas made
by the white carpenters in regard to the City giving the dock work
to negroes, and he suggested that it probably would. be better to employ ;
a better class of labor to do this work. Mayor Booth stated that he
thought too much was being asked of tor. Worden, as he was employed to
? look after the Sanitary and health work of the City which will keep "
him busy most of his time, and suggested that the Water Front Committee
should look this work over and put some one else in charge of the work.
