A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER.
FLORIDA. CERTIFYING THAT THE CLEARWATER NEIGHBORHOOD DEVELOPMENT
CORPORATION PROJECT IS CONSISTENT WITH LOCAL PLANS AND REGULATIONS.
WHEREAS t. the Legislature of Flori da enacted the Conmunity Improvement
Act of 1980. as amended. and
WHEREAS. Chapter 80-249, Laws of Florida, as amended. authorizes the
use of tax credits to encourage firms to contribute to eligible conmunity develop-
ment projects sponsored by non-profit corporations and Neighborhood Housing
Service Programs that improve blighted conditions through the purchase, rehab-
ilitation. marketing and sale'of properties which exert a blighting influence
on the neighborhood and provide job development opportunities for lower income
persons within Enterprise Zones and Neighborhood ,Housing Service Areas. and
WHEREAS, the Department of Conmunity Affairs has approved Enterprise
Zone designation for the area within which Clearwater Neighborhood Development
Corporation operates. and
WHEREAS, the Clearwater Neighborhood Development Corporation desires
to designate its revolving loan fund, acquisition fund and operations fund as
eligible for tax creditable contributions,
WHEREAS, the project location is within an area which is also a
Community Development Block Grant Program area, an approved Enterprise Zone, and
a Neighborhood Housing Service Area.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA, IN SESSION DULY AND REGULARLY ASSEMBLED.
AS FOLLOWS:
1. That the Clearwater Neighborhood Development Corporation and its
revolving loan fund, acquisition fund. and operations fund are hereby certified
to be within an approved Enterprise Zone, and to be consistent with local plans
and regulations.
2. That this resolution shall take effect immediately upon its
adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 19th day of May, 1983.
