OF CLEARWATER, CIRCUIT CIVIL NO. 82-9527-16; ROBERT
P. CLEMENT AND U. 5. FIDELITY & GUARANTY COMPANY
V5. CITY OF CLEARWATER, ET AL., COUNTY CIVIL NO.
82-2688-55; ARNOLD MICHAEL MANIST A, ET UX, V5. CITY
OF CLEARWATER, CIRCUIT CIVIL NO, 82-9584-15.
WHEREAS, 1he City of Clearwater hos been made defendant In en action
for damages which Is the subjec1 matter of the case of Pioneer ExcavatIng Co., Inc.
vs. City of Clearwater, et al., Circuit Civil No. 82-9527-16;
WHEREAS, the City of Clearwater and Steven J. Kanaar, an employee of
the City of Clearwater, have been made defendants In an action for damages which Is
1he subject matter of the case of Robert P. Clement and U. S. Fidelity & Guaranty
Company vs. City of Clearwater, et 01., County Civil No. 82-2688~5S; and
WHEREAS, the City of Clearwater has beell made defendant In an action
for damages which is the subject matter of the case of Arnold Michael Manlsta, et ux.
vs. City of Clearwater, Circuit Civil No. 82-9584-15;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA, IN
SESSION DULY AND REGULARL Y ASSEMBLED, AS
FOLLOWS:
I. That the City Attorney is hereby authorized to take any and 011 steps
necessary to defend the City of Clearwater in the case af Pioneer Excavating Co., Inc.
vs. City of Clearwater, Circuit Civil No. 82~9S27-1 6.
2. That the City Attorney is hereby authorized to toke any and all steps
necessary to defend the City of Clearwater and Steven J. Kanaar, an employee of the
City of Clearwater, In the case of Robert P. Clement and U. S. Fidelity & Guaranty
Company vs. City of Clearwater, et al., County Civil No. 82~2688-55.
3. That 1he City Attorney Is hereby authorized to take any and all steps
necessary 10 defend the City of Clearwater In the case of Arnold Michael Manlsta, et
ux. vs. City of Clearwater, Circuit Civil No. 82-9584-15.
