:1r. H. H. Baskin, ,Tr. representing the applicant outlined the plans. 'The
rezoning is to permit a 5mall ~ho?pinR center to include a Woolco store, A&P
store and certain other <1CCeR~Orjl' service type stores. He introduced Hr. Raymond
11. Norville, President of the firm. :'Ir. Baskin presented a letter of agreement.
They will not aBI"ee to deedinG island at this time but will maintain and landscape
and agree to no si~ns on island. There were no objections. Commissioner ~li11iams
moved the applioation of Horco Investments, rno. to change zoning from R~1-24 to
CP (p.:tt>k\olay business) on above descl:'ibed property be approved and the City Attorney
be instructed to include this in an amendment to the Zoning Ordinance to be brought
back to this Commission for approval as soon as possible. Motion was seconded by
Commissioner Hall and carried unanimously.

with the applicant to return \~ith a compromise zoning proposal. He stated the

Charles Barber, attot'ney repI"esenting the applicant was present and showed a 'ne...,
map with 20 sinp,le family homes on the East portion and 160 units on the West
portion. He said he would not have the opportunity to review this new plan with
interested parties. Mr. E. J. Robinson, 2791 Robinwood Dr., Vice-President of
Robinwood Community Association objected to hi~h density and~vored recommendation
of the Planning & Zoning Board for the East portion to be zoned RS-75 and the West
portion RS-50 with Robinwood Dr. being continued throughout the development.
The Mayor recommended continuance to the next reRular meeting of May 15th. 1972,

Subject: Disability Pension Recommendation for Samuel Chandler
Date: April 7, 1972
In accordance with the rules and regulations governing the City Employees' Pension
Plan, we have reviewed the t'equest of HI'. Samuel Chandler who, while performin~ his
duties in the Sanitation Division, injured his back on or about November 30, 1967.
He settled his claim with Workman s Compensation on March 30, 1971, and has now
requested his Disability Pension.
We have reviewed the claim and medical reports and have also talked with Mr. Chandler.
As a ~esult we are of the opinion that his I'equest should be gI'anted.
We therefore submit to you, for you~ consideration and approval,our request that Mr.
Samuel Chandler 'be Pensioned under Section 6 and Section 1A of the City Employees'
Pension Plan, effective date bein~ January 12, 1968, his last date on the payroll. '
