The City Attorney presented a request from Miss Elsie Duncan for cancellation o~ an assessment for sanitary sewer ror two thirty foot strips along Druid noad which she would like to dedicate as street right or way, (one to be an extension of Yelvington and one for an extension of Keystone). There was some discussion as to who owned the other half of these two proposed streets and it was reported that Mr. Hamrick was willing to dedicate his half or Yelvington to make a sixty root right of way. By consent, the Commission took the matter under advisement and the City Engineer and the City Attorney were instructed to investigate to see if it was possible to get a complete sixty foot right or way in the area concerned. The City Attorney read Resolution 56-31 which corrected an error in the assess- ment for Lots 14 and 15 less the North 55 feet thereo~, Longview Subdivisicn, owned by Walter E. Haas ~nd changed the assessment contained in the original Resolution 56..14 from $376.11 to $224.38, the City to bear the cost of the dl~ference. Commissioner Strang moved that Resolution 56-31 be passed and adopted and the proper officials be authorized to execute it. All of us, the Association as a whole, the ret.iril'lg officers, and ~he new officers, are all indebted to you and to the Ci~y of Clearwater-and to the local committess which worked so hard and so well, and to the Ft. Harrison, and to the Chamber of Commerce. Between ym, you made this notQi1).y the biggest conference we ever had) but also by far tthe smoothes't and best so far as locally-arranged details were concerned.. Registration was very well handled. The Civ1e Ricep'tion, and the entertainment by 'the George Simons swimmers, was unique in our experience-we have never had a civic reception before. We had more mailings, and more complete mailings, or preliminary material than we have ever had before, and the attendance reflects the effectiveness of what. the hotel and the Chamber did on this score.
