The City Commission of the City of Clearwater met in Special Session, at City
Hall, Tuesday June 24.th.1952, at 1.45 P.M., with the following members present:

purpose of the meetin~ was to consider the employment of Dr. A. P. Black to
conduct a water survey for the City of Clearwater, And to consider a Resolution.
adopting a tentative bud~ot for the fisc3l year beginning July 1, 1952, as
prepared by the City Manager.
Commissioner Bl~nton moved that the City employ Dr. A. P. Black at a
cost not to exceed two thousand (loll.<trs (.}2.000.00) to conduct an above the ground
survey for a possible water source for the City of C~arwater, in the territory
adjacent t~learwater extendin(r, in a Northeasterly direction to Oldsmar, with the
understand~- dhat a report wi 11 be renlered within ten (10) days. The motion '."laS
seconded by Commissioner Lynn and carried unanimously.
Commissioner Lynn moved t.h["'t the six-hour nt.)tice of Commission meetings
as required by the City Charter be waived for this meeting. The motion was
seconded by Co~nissioner Blanton and carried unanimously.

The City Attorney read the Resolution setting out the tentative budget
for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1952, and settin~ out the proFosed tax rate
as recommended hy the City Manager. The Resolution provided for a Public Hearing
on the proFosed budget to be held, Friday, June 27, at 7:30 P.~l. to be held in
City Hall. COllllnissioner Lynn moved that the Hesolution be adopted. Commissioner
Blanton seconded the motion and it was carried unanimously.
The City 1.h1nager presented 1~he plats on BAY TER1',ACE #2 and BAY TERRACE #3
stating that it was the City Attorney's opinion that it would not be necessary to
vacate the previous plat as the description showed, that those plats were replRts
of certain lots in BAY l'EHHACE SUBD1 VIS} ON. It was moved by Commissioner Blanton
that the plats of' BAY TERRACE 1/2 E\,nd /13, be arprovpd. I.loti on vIas seconded by
Commissioner Lynn and carried unanimously.
There being no further husiness to come before the Commission) the
meeting was adjourned.

WHEREAS ,the City Manager of the City of Clearwater ,Florida ,has Bubmitted
an estimate of the ~mount of money necessary to carryon the City Government
for the fiscal year beginning ~u1y lst,1952,~nd ending ~une 30,1953; and
WHEREAS, the City COIllmission has, in meeting duly assembled ,examined carefully.
oonsidered,and approved the same; and
WHE~AS,the Tax Assessment Roll ~as been submitted to the City Commission in
oorrect form;
NOW ,THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City CommissiDn of the Ci ty of Clearwater
,Florida,in regular meeting assembled;
First,that the City Manager's Annual Report and budget for the fiscal year
beginning ~uly 1,1952, and ending June 30,1953,a copy o~ whiCh is on file witn
the City AUditor and Clerk and is by reference made a part hereof,and of whioh
the following schedQle is a summary,is hereby adopted as the Operating Budget for

be neoessary to raise the necessary sums for debt servioe on the City's outstand-
ing bonded indebtedness~and said rate of millage is hereby assessed against the
property included in said tax assessment roll as follows:
All real estate and personal property within the city of Clearwoter-
4.5 mills.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the following sohedules and tax rates be published
in th$ Clearwater Sub and that the City Commission shall meet in the City Hell
,City of Clearwater, at 7:30 P.M. ,June 27,1952, for the plirpose Qf holding a
public hearing upon said intended tax levy, and the City Auditor and Clerk is
hereby required to publish a notice of such pUblio hearing,setting forth the
time and place aforesaid for holding suoh meeting ,together with the proposed
budget and tax levy as herein set forth, and unless sufficient objeotions shall
be made at the time and plaoe stated in said notice,said budget and tax levy
shall standi for the fiscal year-beginning July l,l952,and ending-June 30,1953.
THIS RESOLUTION PASSED AND ADOPtED by the City Commission of the City of Clear-

Know all persons that we the undersigned Commissioners of the City Commission of
the City of Clearwater, Florida, do hereby waive notice of a Special Meeting of said
City Commission which was held at the City Hall in the City of Clearwater, Florida,
at 1:45 p.m. on Tuesday, June 24, 1952, and we do hereby specifically waive notice
set out in Section #18 of the Charter of the City of Clearwater, Florida, and we
do hereby severly consent to said meeting at time and place before said.
