October 8, 1951
The Oity Oommission of the City of Clearwater met in speoial session at City
Hall Monday, Ootober 8th, 1951, at 12:15 PM, with the followinp, members present:

Meeting was called to order by the Mayor.
Commissioner Black moved that Attorney Ben Krentzman, who was present, be appointed
as Acting City Attorney in the absence of City Attorney C. E. Ware, who is on vacation.
Coramissioner Blanton seconded the motion, which was voted upon and unanimously carried.
City Manager presented tabulation of bid~ on paving and curbs on Mandalay Sub-
division~ Unit NO.5, and recommended that bid be awarded to low bidder W. H. Armston,
Dunedin, whose bid was in the amount of $39,493.00. He stated that the City Engineer
joined him in this recommendation. Commissioner Black moved that tlle bid of W. H.
Armston Company, Dunedin, for $39,493.00 covering 17,850 sq. yds. of shell base and
paving and 11,760 lineal feet of curb and gutters, and 500 cu. yds. of fill, as re-
commended by City Manager and City Engineer be approved and awarded. Commissioner
Turner seconded the motion, which was voted upon and unanimously carried.

City Manager presented tabulation of bids on storm sewers for Mandalay SubdiVision,
Unit No.5, and joined with the City Engineer in recommending that the bid of Paul
Giuliani, of Tarpon Springs, in the amount of $11,820.00 be accepted and approved. Com-
missioner Black moved that City Engineer's and City Mana'ger's recommendation be followed
and that the low bid of Paul Giuliani Company of Tarpon Springs, at $11,820.00 for
storm sewers in Mandalay Unit No.5 be approved and awarded, items to include the follow-
ing:

Acting City Attorney read Ordinance No. 610, amendment to Occupational License
Ordinance No. 609. Coramissioner Black moved passage of Ordinance No. 610 on ita first
reading. Commissioner Turner seconded the motion, which was voted upon and unanimously
carried. CQmmissioner Black moved to consider passage of Ordinance No. 610 by title
only on its second reading. Commissioner Turner seconded the motion. which was voted
upon and unanimously carried. Acting City Attorney read Ordinance No. 610 by title
only. Commissioner Black moved passage of Ordinance No. 610 on second reading by
title only. Commissioner Turner seconded the motion, which was voted upon and unani-
mously carried. Acting City Attorney read Ordinance No. 610 on its third and final
reading. Commissioner Black moved passage of Ordinance No. 610 on its third and final
reading. Comnissioner Turner seconded the motion, which was voted upon and unanimously
carried.
