John L'hestnut informed him he will pave Missouri Avenue to Lakeview if the City wills ecure and give him the necessary rights-oP-way. The City Attorney read a Resolution appropriating the shin of X15,000.00 for the purchase of rights-of-way of Court Street >;xtension. Commissioner Iynn moved the adoption of the Resolution. Commissioner Turner seconded the motion and it carried. There being no further business to came before the Board, the Commission now adjourned. Frith the following members present: Herbert ld. Brown -btayor-Commissioner Herbert M. Blanton -Commissioner Garland Lynn -Connnisaioner Joe Turner -Commissioner ?' E. iNa re -City Attorney The meeting was called to order by the Mayor. The City Attorney spoke Per the Commiittee on Right of Ways far the Laura Street and ?ifyrtle Avenue ExtenBione. It wse the City Attorneys recommendation that Mr. D. 1v. Iame be paid the sum of X1,000.00. The City Attorney stated that it appeared to the Committee that Dtr. Iame was being deprived of his display apace in the front of his building, by reason oP the widening oP Myrtle Avenue. The Committee feels that Mr. Lame has suffered that mush damage in connection with the matter and feels that 1,000.00 is a reasonable settlement. It was moved by Commissioner Turner, seconded by Commissioner Lynn and carried, that D. E. Lame bo paid the sum of $p1,000.00 and that the paving assessment be cancelled in consideration of his conveying to the City the necessary portion of his land on btyrtle Avenue needed for right of way in the Myrtle Avenue widening pro?eat. The City Attorney submitted to the City Commission a contract covering aaquistion from Kennedy and Strickland of ].and for the necessary right of v?ray for extension of Iaura Street. It was moved by Commissioner nlanton, seconded by Camrniasioner Turner and carried, that the City Attorney be instructed to revise the contrast so as to in- clude in it a provision providing for exchange by the City oP Clearwater and Kennedy and wife, and Strickland and wife of two certain triangular tracts of land for the purpose of re-locating in the proper place the right of way for Iaura Street a dis- tance of 290 Pt. running West from the East line of the right of way of Prospect Avenue and that the proper City Officials be authorized to execute such revised con- tract.
