City :Manager reported tha t he 'Would not recomnend the pu~chase of .ter from St. Petersburg at prices offered at the rece~t water conference in St8 Petersburg a8 the price they quoted for treated water was three times that what the Cit,. now pays. The final recolllD1endations of the City Manager will be made after he studies the printed report from the engineering firm. Commissioner Black moved that the Commission approve th8 con- tract submitted by the City Manager which has been entered into in previous 'sub- divisions. Motion was seconded by Commissioner Lynn and carried. The City Manager recommended the replacement or a 2" water line with a 6"' line on Phoenix Avenue at a cost of $3.600.00. Commissioner Turner moved that the City Manager's' report, with regard to the replacement of a 2" water l'.ne 111. th a 6" line on Phoenix Avenue, be followed and he be authorized to prooeed with the installation of the 6" main on Phoenix Avenue when the pipe is availa,ble. Motion was seoonded by Commissioner Blanton and carried. Mayor Brown made a report on the opening or Laura Street between Myrtle and Booth Avenues and the widening of Myrtle between Laura and Drew Streets. Mayor Brown stated that Kennedy and Striokland will allow a 45 ft. r1~t-or-way to the rear of their property and will exohange property ofr of Grove Street 10 ft. wide by 100-150 tt. long for the consideration that the City will not assess them ror the paving or this street and also give them a 5 ft. strip ot right-ot-way, whioh the Oity owns in the rear ot their property. Kennedy & Striokland requested that no sidewalk be oonstructed on the south side of Laura Street. Oommissioner Blaok moved that the matter be referrod to the City Manager and City Attorney tor their oonsideretlon along the line of completion as recommended by the Committee. Mo- tion was seconded by Cocmissioner Turner and carried. Ci ty Manager presented a sta tement from the law firm ot 1loMullen. MoMullen and Pogue showing a balance due that firm of $500.00 on attorneys tees earned in defending the suit ot Marshall Dancy vs. Cit'Y of Olearwa ter, which suit was based upon B Coupons attached to certain City of Clearwater Refunding Bonds which were oalled by the City of Clearwater thereby rendering the coupons void. The Oity Attorney recommended payment of the bill. Commissioner Turner moved that the bill in the amount or $500.00 be paid to McMullen. McMullen and Pogue. Motion was seoonded by Cammis~ioner Blaok and unanimously carried. The City Attorney made a report relative to the deed to be issued to John Segelken and stated Mr. 8egelken has complied with the contract in installing of pavement and the street has been dedicated. Commissioner Black moved that the Oity Manager and the Mayor be authorized to proceed with the administrative de- tails involved in the signing of deeds to Maurice Canoles and John Segelken and also obtain trom them a Quit Claim Deed tor the extension of Douglas Avenue. Motion wae seconded by Commissioner Blanton and carried. The Commission now adjourned as the City Cmamission and acting as Trustees for the Pension Fund approved the admission ot the Pension ~~nd ot: On a motion by Commissioner Turner and seconded by Commiaaioner Black and carried, Ollen R.
