M. saturday, December 23rd, 1950 with the following members pre sent: Harry D. Sargeant Herbert M. Brown E. B. Casler Jr. La land F. Drew Joe Turner -Mayor-Commissioner -Conunissioner .Conunissioner -Commissioner -Commissioner Absent: None Also Present Were: -Ci ty Manager -Chief ot Police -City Attorney to order and explained that the meeting paving of the South end of Gult View, the Cmnmittee on acquiring certain pro- Boyd A. Bennett George McClalllt:l8. Ben Krentzman The Mayor called tho meeting had been called to open bids for the Boulevard and to receive a report of party. Sealed proposals !'rom W. H. Armston Company and f'rom E. H. Holcomb Jr. for the construction of approximately 700 tt. of reinforced storm sewer, and 2000 square yards of' street rebuilding on South Gult View Boulevard and 15th Street were received and opened. H. Annaton Company Was accepted. Commissioner Drew~ reporting for the Committee, stated that ~pprox~atel~ 1400 ft. or Gulf frontage South of Everinghams Pavilion,could be acquired for a consideration of Eighty Thousand Dollara; that ter~ of the sale would, likely restrict the use of the property as ~public propertyW and that it could not be used for commercial purposes. Commissioner Casler moved that the City Manager be authorized to negotiate for the purchase of the property and that he submit al racommendatlon as to the means of financing. The motion was seconded by Cam- mdssioner Turner and carried.
