As indicated to you several days ago, my private lawpraotiae has been making increased demands upon ruy time to the extent that I shall be forced to submit my resignation as b?lunicipal Judge, I request that the effeative date of this resignation be August 1, 1947, less two week's accrued vacation time, whioh will place the last date of my sexvioe at July 14, 1947. Also present were City Manager, Boyd A. Bennett, City Attorney, Geo. W. Smith and Chief of Police, J. J, Elliott. ?'? After calling the meeting; to order, b4ayor Houze read the notice of this _, special meeting which stated the purpose of the meeting to be to sot on the resignation of Y?illiam M. Goza, Jr., Municipal Judge and elect a successor, and also appoint a representative of the City to serve on the County Health Board. The City Clerk read a letter from William M. Goza, Jr., whioh stated his resignation as bunicipal Judge, the effective date of resignation would be August 1, 1947, the last day of sergice as Judge to be July llz, 1947. It was moved by Cor?missinner Sargeant seconded by Commissioner 4"ells and carried that the resignation be accepted. The Commission at this time expressed their commendation for the very sati?factary service rendered the City of Clearwater by Mr. Goza as City Judge. It was roved by Commissioner tiVells seconded by Commissioner Crane and carried that A. T. Cooper, Jr., be appointed City Judge to fill out the unexpired term Of Willlalll III. Goza, Jr. It was moved by Commissioner Crane seconded by Commissioner Johnson end carried that Boyd A, Bennett be Appointed as the representative on the County Health Board.
