such area bounded on the North 'y Cleveland street, and on the West by
G::Lenwood Avenue, and beinc< North of Crest Lake - the transaction to be on a
lonr term lease at a nominal yearly rental charre of ::::1.00.
ConmIissloner Cr-ane reported that tho recontly appointed Conuni ttee
to reviow the present Im:'is concernin, tho re,r-1l.lations of dors, hopes to have

City Attorney Smith presented for approval a deed to Robert J.
Knirht, Jr., and others, of property in DelOra Groves Subdivision covered by
previous contract of' sale. After examination of' the deed and on recommendation
of the C1 ty Attorney, the instJ:>ument was approved and si,ned.
A letter was read from the Chief of 1'olice, J. J. Elliott, relating
the ~ift of several firearms to the Police Department by Donald Roeblina.
Thi s letter is set out in full belovl. It was :moved by Commissioner Johnson,
seconded by Commissioner \"lells, and Carried, that the City Clerk be directed
to express by letter to Mr. Hoeblin'- pY'opor thanks for this p:enerous act.

On motion of Commissioner Grane, seconded by Commissioner Johnson,
it was unanimously carried that the City Attorney contact firms or concerns in
the bu.siness of compilin:' and codifyin'" municipal laws, to the end that an
estimate may be had of the cost of compilirF' and c0difyinp the 1a\'/s of the
City of Clearwater.
The request of nr. Pox of the Salvation Army for a donation of :~500.00
to help tal{e care of transient and destitute persons was referred to the City
Manap.er as a subject to be considered \'lhen compilinp next years budget. Mr. Fox
was informed that no City funds vlere presently available. Commissioner Sargeant
stated that if at all possible the City should help the Veterans Organization
in carinp f'or needy, vagrant, and de&itute veterans. Commissioner Crane
suggested that an eff'ort be made in th0 f'uture to have problems of the above
sort provided for in the Community Chest Budp;et.
There beinr; no further' business to come before the Board, the
meetinr, was adjourned.
