Smith, seconded by Mr. Crane, and carried, that the application of GeorFe Kersey for a fillinp station permit coverin~ property at the northwest corner of Roux Avenue and Cleveland street be p-ranted. Mr. R. E. Martin hud a written request before the Board askin~ that Lots 2 and 3, Sunset Point Subdivision, be rezoned so as to permit the operation of business on this pro~erty. A letter of protest from the Ed~ewater Drive Association was re ad. The City Commission sittin~ as Board of T~ustees of the Clearwater Employees Pension Fund approved the certification of Mrs. Marian Goffi~an. This approval was upon the motion of Mr. Johnson, seconded by Mr. Crane. Clty Manap'er Hendrix stated that an estimate showed that it would cost approximately ~17,500 to put the Seminole street Pier in ~ood condition. That an inspection of the pier showed that the pilin/)' from the fisb bouse 'west was in ~ood condition, but that the pilin~ from the fish house east was about half rrone~ The $17,500 estimate would encompasR the constrictinr of the width of the pier to the width of the pllinr, about 15 feet, and also the addin~ o~ a north and south win~ at the west end of the pier. . .' .<. .
