Mr. Hendrix reed a letter fr~m the Building Inspectar settL~g
for th stand erd spec ifice ti.Jns l' or concrete blooks. Mr. Bot eler in his
letter stated that he did not f'eel thtlt a special c:ty Ordinance was
needed concerning COllorete block manUfacturing. No action was taken
in the matter. hir Boteler's letter is set out below.
On motion of Mr. Lowe, seconded by Mr. Stoutamire the Commission
approved the este blish i..og of a trBll er par k on the \'Jest of the Largo
Road near the City Limits. lUr George F. Dean 'Was present ~nd asked for
such approval.
Captain L. C. Stoutamire bad an offer of ~l500.00 bef-.)re the board
for the purchL se of a small s trip of water front property neer the Little
Theatre; also ~r. Stoutamlre in the event the property VIlas not for sel e
offered to rent the same at the price of a ~100.00 8 year. Mr. Hendrix
was asked to investigate the ~ossibility of renting this property to
Captain 6toutamire.

The City Commission met in special session at 12 o'clock noon Saturday
Dec 15, 1945 with the following members present:
Geo. R. Seav,y, Jesse G Smith, end Dan L Stoutam1re,
Absent: Sumner Lowe and Herbert Grice.
Tne qualified list of voters as certified by couhty registrar W. C. Reid was
received rrom the 01erk--after inspection o~ the S~ list and no objection ,being made
to the same it was moved by Mr. Smith seconded by Mr. Stoutamlre that the list be
~pproved. Motion carried.
. City Attorney Richards read to the Board en affidavit'to be signed by the voter
which would enable an U. S. Service Man or one recently discharged from service to
vote under certain ciroumstanoes even his name did not appear on the Certified List.
This af~idavit is set out in full below. It was moved by MX. Smith seconded by Mr.
stoQtamire and carried that the arfidavit be approved and that the sm. same be used
when necessary in the election to be held De6ember 18, 1945.
~.~ The qualifying petitions of W. C. Wells, Tlln Johnson, and E J. Hunter being
be~ore the Board and the same being in proper order it was moved by Mr. Smith seconded
by Mr. Stoutamire that the same be approved and that the names of W. C. Wells, Tim Johnson
and E.. J. Hunter be placed on the ballot f'or the election to be held Dee 18, 19~5.
