Seavy Mayor-~ommissioner Clearwater, Fla. Dear Mayor Seavy: As you know, the 0i ty Commission named me as one ot: the Comrqissioners 1'or the Clearwater Beach Island Seawall District. It was with great reluctance that I accepted the appointment, because I felt that my health would not permit me to give the pIDoper attention to my duties. However, I wanted to do whatever I possibly oo~ld to help obtain seawalls for the Island, and therefore I agreed to accept the appointmen~. I now greatly regret to advise you that I find it impossible f~' me to continue with th is work. I retired from active business when I came to Florida to live some years ago, and did not again intend to engage in anything that would require my full time. I find that the position of a Commissioner of the Seawall District requires so much time and attention to det~il that my heelth will simply not permit me to render efficient services in this capacity. So I think it is best far me to stip aside and let the Com- mission app~int a man in my place who is in a posotion to devote the neoessary time and energy to this important projcet. . Will you theI'ef~re please consider this 6S my resignation as a member of the Oom- mission of tp.e Cle8rw~ter Beecb Islemd Seawall District, effective immediately.
