Geroge R, Seavy, Sumner Lowe, Herbert Grice, Jesse G. 'smith, Dan F. Stoutamire. Absent: None The meeting was called to order and the minutes of the previous meet- ing Nrere read and approved. Representatives from several oil companies were present and protested the levying of the 10?? tax on fuel oil. The Commission took the matter under ad- visement. On a motion by Mr. Grice, seconded by Mr. Smith, a t ransfer of X15,000.00 Prom the Gas and V?ater Fund to the General r'und was appxo?ed. ?. t was moved by ?4r. Grice, seconded by plr. ?nith, and Carried that Ordnance ? be passed on its first reading. This ordnance i? an amendment to Zoning Ordnance .??f?. The Commission informed City Judge 4'yare they would take under ad- visement the question of his continuing as City Jedge. I?r. V?are stated that he had been appointed attorney to the State Racing 4ommission and that if the Commission tlwught his new position would interfere too much with his duties as City Judge, he would be glad to resign this office. It was moved by Mr. Smith, seconded by I?r, Grice, and ca rried that William H. Pitts, R. Sherwood, and Roy ??akeling be appointed as members of th© Seawall Authority Commission.
