Street, and instructed Mr. Thomas Hamilton, who represented Saul Solomon, that

Upon the motion of Mr. Grice, the Commissi on unanimously
agreed to permit the Service Clubsto use the Bay Hall building ~or the duration o~
the war and six months thereafter.
In answer to e question ~rom Mr-. J. E. Satter~ie~d, con-
cernin.g steps taken, if an~, looking f'orward to possi b1e municipal ownership of the

electrical faci1ities~ Mayor Seavy stated that the Commission was not in a posit-
ion at this time to make any recommendation as to whether or not the Power Company

facilities should be purchased by the City of Clearwater, but that the.cityoffictals
were gathering all the vital information that they could on this project, and that
when completed, the same would be released for the information of the pUblic..
Mr. G. L. Kennedy, representing the Highway Committee of the
Chamb er of Commerc~ recommended that the City Commission take consideration to a
North and South highway through Clearwater, which would make use of Michigan Aven~
in the Country Club section and extend South along Mi~souri Avenue and on the North,
connect with Douglas Avenue. Several interested parties from the Country Club
section were present and objected to the highway using Michigan Avenue. The
Commission took the matter under consideratlon, and Mayor Seavy said that whatever
street was used, a sufficient notice would be given the residents of that street
so that they might have a chance to protest if they sodesire.

It was moved by Mr. Grice, seconded by Mr-. Lowe, and carrie d,
that the City contribute $300.00 toward the management of the Farmer's Market if and
when the Chamber of Commerce contributed $300.00 for the same purpose.
Ci ty Manager Hendrix now read an Ordinance to be known as
No.. 505, levying a ten percent (10%) tax on the sale of gas, water, electriCity,
fuel oil, and telephone service. It was moved by Mr. Sndth, seconded by Mr. Lowe,
and unanimously carried that the Ordinance, No. 505, be passed on its first read~ng.

23 of Sue Barco's Subdivision, according to map or plat thereof as recorded in
Plat Book 1, page 26, of the public records of Pinellas County, Florida; and
WHEREAS, it appears that an unnamed street lies between Lots 23, 22, and lots
13, 14 and 15 of said Sue Barco's Subdivision; and
WHEREAS, the City of Clearwater owns the property on both sides of said street
extending North of a straight line connecting the Southern boundaries of said
Lots 15 and 22; and
~EREAS, said street is unnamed and has never been used as a public thoroughfare,

OF AIRPLANES ACROSS PUBLIC STREETS IN
THE CITY OF CLEARWATER

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF 'IHE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA:
1. That from and after the passage of this ordinance it shall be
unlawful for any person, finn or corporation to move anY' airplane upon
or across any public' street of the City of Clearwater, wither by taxiiing,
towing, or otheriise, wi thout first se~ur1ng a written permit fl'om tlB
Ci ty- Manager. .
2. Any person, firm or corooration violating tais ordinance shall
be punished by fine not exceeding Une Hundred Dollars ($100.00) or by ~-
pnsonment in the City Jail not exceeding thirty (30) days, or by both such
fine and imprisonment in the discretion of the City Judge.
3. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith be
and the same are hereby repealed.
4. This.ordinance shall become effective immediatel~ upon ~ts
passage and adoption by the City Commission of the City of .learwater.

sewer line under the Seaboarcl Air Line Railway Company traeks at Pine
, Stre�it; and
VYP.�REAS a contract has been prepared for exe� tion by the City
and the Seabosrd Air Line Railway �ompany, dated May 21st, 1945� sett-
ing forth the terms and con ditions under whieh said sawer line may be
installed b y the City:
NONT, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COA�IIJIISSIOi�i OF ZEiE
