I , 'r ":\ 'I ' I.. 1'. i 'I '~".,'., ::' .i Mr. Hendrix read a letter from Florida Aviation Engineering Service, concerning a new air transportation feeder system for Florida: It FLORIDA AVIATION Engineering Service st. Petersburg, Florida NOvember 5, 1944 City Council Clearwater, Florida Attention: Honorable Ma~or Gentlemen: Florida Aviaticn Engineering Service with headquarters at st. Peters- burg, Florid, and an'all Florida concern has submitted a proposal to the Civil Aeronautics Board at Washington, D. e., for a new Air Transportation Feeder System carrying Air Mail, passengers and cargo throughout the State of Florida. We concur with the Civil Aeronautics Authority and the u. S. Post Office that the time has come that the smaller communities as well as the big cities I. should enjoy the benefits of our nation's splendid Air Transportation facilities. It i~ with this thought in mind that this organization has placed youp community on the new proposed pouteSl. The federal hearing for the allocation of the new proposed Air Feeder Routes will be held November 27, 1944, in Washington, D. C., by the Civil Aeronautics Board. Any aid which you or your fellow citizens can offer towards fulfillment of the new porposed route discussions at the Civil Aeronautics Board November 27th, will be greatly apppeciated. I regret neither my associates nor I have had the opportunity to pre- sent this new plan in person, but have just returned from foreign duty in the .Army Air Forces and am looking forward to a visit to your city in the near future.
