The meeting was duly called to order by Mayor Seavy and the
minutes of the previous meeting were read And ap'roved.

I.!. H. Jones appeared before the Bo~rd as a representative
of seven colored taxi owners end two wlli te taxi owners 'lnd made
several objections to the proposed ordinance regulating taxi cRbs
in the City of Clearwater. The City Corrunission suggested to lltr. Jones
tha t he me et wi th the City A ttorney and the cri ty 1.~anager Hnd eo over
the proposed ordin:,mce thoroughly. The Commission informed Vtr. Jones
that this proposed ordi~Bnce, or one similar to it would be passed
by the Co@nission vdthin the nesr future.

that a Resolution grantinr. an additionAl period of six months from
August 24th, 1944 to the Piedxor.t ~lyine Compnny, Inc., within which
to establish a flyin['; school at the Clesrv.'at.er 1,:unicipol Airport.
This Resolution is set out below.
