The meeting was duly cal le d to order by bleyor Seavy and the minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. MIr. Herbert Grundy appeared before the Board relative to damage done to a fence on his"property ad?oinging the Clearwater Municipal Air- , port, such damage being, effected by machinery that was used in the con- struction of the airport. The City Commission instructed Mr. Hendrix to get in touch with Mr. Armston, who did the construction work at the airport, and see that Mr. Grundy be recompensed for any damage suffered by him. '?. City lGanager Hendrix read a Resolution vacating a plat of Treasure Shores ?1 Subdivision, such property being owned entirely by Mr. M.,1.$. Smith. It was moved by Mr. Gr?.ca, seconded by Mr. Stoutamire and carried that such Resolution be approved This Resolution is set out below. The City Commission also had before it a Petition protesting the construction of a power line across Clearwater Bay to Clearwater .. ,,;? ?,, ?: Beach. The City Commission had before it a proposed ordinance establishing fire limits and establishing types of buildings to be built within those ;, ; limits. Fire Chief Martin was present .?nd ode some explanation of the ? proposed new ordinance. The Commission took no action in the matter and ? ?' deferred passage of the ordinance until further study.. ? ;.:.:,?:.,<?=': Mr. Hendrix now read to the Board the report of the committee I ;._;- investigating the operation of the Imperial Docks. '? ,? mendations of the committee. _ City Manager Hendrix now read an ordinance to be known as ordinance #499 and amending Ordinance #4.71 which regulated and lim.itad the sale of intogieating liquors in the City* of Clearwater. Smith, being the sole owner of all platted lets in the plat of TREASURE SHORE N0. 1 as filed for record in Plat Book 15, Page 94 of the Public Records of Pinellas County, Florida has applied to the City Commission to vacate said plat, and WHEREAS, all City taxes and assessments against said property have been satisfied end none of the streets ar avenues of said plat have been opened or used for traffio. VIOLATION OF THE TERb?S THEF?FOF". BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITE' COT??SISSION OF TBE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA; Section l.? Section 2 of Ordinance No. 471 of the City of Clearwater be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: "Section 2. For the propose of this ordinance, a vendor shall be defined as a person, firm or caporation opexating a place of business where alcoholic beverages era sold, regardless of whether said beverages are sold in sealed containers or by in- dividual drinks." Section 2. All ordinances or parts o ordinances in conf list herewith be and the same are hereby repealed. Section 3.
