of the Brumby Marine Ways And that Mr. Brumby did not care to
appear before the Commission relBtive to the prices charged at
the Marine Ways. Mr. Hendrix read to the BOArd, however, two
letters givsn to him by Mr. Brllinby, the letters relating to prices
charged .:It the HI'lrine Ways. One of these letters. being from .H. M.
Turnburke of Clearwater and the other letter being from the ~une-
din Fish Company of Dunedin, 'la., are set out el~ewhere in these
minutes. It was agreed by the Co:,nmission that Mayor Seavy would
discuss wi th I!.r. BrlUnby the prices charged at the Marine Ways.
City Manager Hendrix now read a letter from the Esselstyn Invest-
ment Company ~hich letter asked for a reduction on delinouent
taxes on a number of lots in Mandalay ~ubdivision. It appearing
that the valuation on the lots in question were not out of line
with other assessments in the same surrounding area, the Commission
declined to make any reduction in the settlement of the taxes.

2. It shall be the duty of any person, firm or cor-
poration purchasing a bicycle to ascertain, before making such
pUDchase, that the person, firm or corporation offering to sell
said bicycle holds a municipal license therefor. Any person,
firm or corTlorntion who purchases a bicycle from any p\':)rson,
firm or c0rpor2tion who does not hold a municipal license there-
for shall be prima f'acie guilty of purch~sinB stolen property.
3. Any person, f'inn or corpor<.tion who violates any
provision of this ordinance shall, unon conviction thereof' in the
Municipal Court, be puni~hed by A fine not exceeding $50.00, or
by impr~sonment in the city jail for a period not exceeding thirty
days, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
4. This ordinance shall bocome effective immedi~tely
upon its p8ssage and adoption by the City Commission of the City
of Clearwater.
5. All ordinances or pArts of ordinances in conflict
herewith be and they -re hereby repealed.
