After the meeting was duly called to order by Mayor Seavy, City Attorney
Ralph Richards read an offer of the United States Government to contribute
$14,974.00 to the Recreation Department of Clearwater to aid the City in
furnishing recreation facilities to Service Men for the period July 1,194;
to June 30, 1944. Iv'!r. Richards now read a resolution whereby the City
accepted said offer.' Moved by Er. Smith, seconded by Mr. Lowe and carried
that the resolution be adopted.
Below is set out the above mentioned offer and resolution accepting same.

Subject to the the Maintenance .and OpeT'ation terms and conditions,
(FWA Forms WS-10l, dated September 15, 1942), attached hereto and made a
part hereof, the United States of America (herein called the "Government")
hereby offers to contribute to you for the maintenance and operation of
your recreation facili ties for Service !\~en for the period July I, 19l~;
through June 30" 19l~4 the sum of $14,974.00, or such lesser sum as the
Federal Wo~ks Administrator shall determine to be sufficient, with other
available funds, for the maintenance and operation of such facilities
during such period.
All payments made hereunder, and all earnings, fees, income,
and other funds obtained through or for the operation and maintenance
of such facilities shall be deposltedl promptly upon the receipt thereof,
in a ser.arate account or accounts (hereinafter collectively referred to
as the IContribution Accountll). Unless otherwise required by law, the
Contribution Account shall be set up in a bank or banks which are mem-
bers of the Pederal Dep'oait Insurance Corporation. Moneys in the Con-
tribution Account shall be expended only for the payment of the costs
of maintaining and operating the facilities herein described during the
period specified herein" and in cOlnformity with the latest estimate
thereof approved by the Government.
