The Ci ty r.~anager also read a complaint from Hr. \'/. C. Gorman relative to r.:r. r:.orman's city tAxes. i':'r. Hendrix stAted that the increase in Hr. Gorman's assessed value was because the former owner had received '."idow' s Exempti on and Mr. n-orman had made improvements to the value of $ 875.00. ?!oved by Mr. Lowe, seconded oy Hr. D. C. Smith and unanimously carried that a transfer of ~~ 6,000.00 from the Gas and Water Fund to the General Fund on November 25, 1942 be approved. The City Attorney read Ordinance # 492, entitled: Al~ ORDINANCE REGULATING THE SALE OF MILK IN THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA, DEFINING "MILK AND lIILK PRODUC TS", "~.ULK PRODUCER", "PASTEURlZA TION", ETC., :FROHIBP.PING THE SALE OF ADULTER.ll.TED AND MISBRAHDED MILK AND VIlLK PRODUCTS, REQUIRING LICENSES FOR THE SALE OF MILK AND MILK PRODUCTS, REGULATIrJG THE INSPECTION OF DAIRY FARHS AND MILK PLANTS, THE EY~.tInATION, GRADING, LABELING, PLACARDIlm, PASTEURIZATION, REGRADING, DISTllII3UTION, AND SAL~ OF UILK AND MILK PRODUCTS, PROVIDING FOIt THE PUBLISHDIG OF ~,lILK GRADES, THE CONSTHUCTION OF FUTURE DAIRIES AND MILK PLANTS, AND PHOVIDING FOR THE PAYr1EIIT OF CERTAIN FEES OR CHAEGES TO COVER A PART OF THE COST OF INSPECTION OF DAIRIES, DAIRY FARMS OR DISTRIBUTORS SELLING OR DISTRIBUTInG UILK OR VIlLK PRODUCTS IN THE CITY OF CLEARWATEl{, FIXING THE .l'U-.WUNT THEREOF, THE EN'FORCEMEtTT OF THIS ORDDJANCE AND THE FIXING OF PENALTIES. Doctor Bolser explained various parts of the Ordinance which follows recommendations of the United States Public Health Service and of the Arm,! of the United States. Moved by Sumner R. The COlnmission agreed to the application but no official action was believed necessary. The City Attorney presented petitions nominnting neorge H. Seavy for Hayor-Conmis sioner, ,Tesse Smi th for CO!'1ffiissioner And Herbert Grice in the 'tunicipal election to be held on December 15th, 1942. Since the petitions had been checked and found to contain more than five percent of the signatures of the qualified voters in the City and no other nominations had been received, it was moved by Sumner R.
