M. in the city Hall with the following members present: Geo. R. Seavy, Mayor-Commissioner sumner ~. Lowe, Commissioner Dan L. stoutamlre, ~ommdsa1oner D. C. smith, Commissioner Jessie u. Smith, 0ommiss1oner ,Absent: None The meeting was duly oalled to order by Mayor Geo. R. Seavy and the minutes of the previous meeting were approved as read. Mayor Seavy explained that City Mana8er Hendrix would be absent sinoe he w~s attending in savannah, Georgia a meeting to discuss the oritical Gas Oil situation as the same applies to gas manufacture. The Commisw,on had before it the bld of Hovey Brothers on a flre truck. It appeared that this was the only bld submitted in response to advertisement calling for same returnable not later than saturday noon November 7, 1942. Moved by Mr. Lowe, seconded by R. C. Smith and carried that the $1,250.00 bid of' Hovey Brothers be accepted. Below is set out such accepted bid~ November 6, 1942 Mr. F. A. TRAINS NOT TO BLOCK STREETS. It shall be unlawful for the directing offioer or operaten of any railroad train to direct the operation of or to operate the same in suoh manner as to interfer.e with the use of any street for the purpose of travel for a period of time longer than five minutes, except that this provision shall not apply to trains or cars in motion other than those engaged in switohing. It shall be unlawful for any railroad train to stop at any interseotion or on a oross walk for the purpose of receiving or disoharging passengers exoept at regular and designated stations. sectioll 4. ORDmANCE ; JPJ& J..i I AN ORDINANCE REGULATING WOOD-YARDS AND REqUIRING PUBLIC POSTING OF PRICES. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA: Section 1. POSTING OF PRICES. Every person owning or operating a wood-year shall post and keep posted in a consptcuous place on the premises a price list shOWing the various kinds and sizes of wood tor sale and the prices to be oharged therefor. All sales of wood shall be in conformity with the posted prioes. Section 2. SALE BY THE CORD. Where wood is offered for sale at a certain price per cord, each cord shall conform to the standard dimension of four feet wide and fbur feet high and eight teet long, or the equivalent thereot. section 3. SALE BY THE STRAND. Where wood is offered for sale at a certain price per str81d or other unit, the length ot the wood and the exact measurements of the strand or other unit shall be s,ecified. All sales of wood shall be in cODformity with the measurements as specified. seotion 4. PENALTY.
