Whereas the 0ity Commissioners at their last meeting on September
twenty-first, reduced the occupational licenses of Jewelers, Photographers,
Radio Shops, Buildine l~!aterial dealers, Saw 1,1111s, l~ovel ty \larks, Accountants,
and AUditors, Dance Halls, Restaurants, Taxi Cabs, and nwnerous other oocupations.
And whereas occupational lioense for Attorneys were raised by the
commissioners in 1.941 to ,?25. 00 and not reduced sinoe that date.
And whereas Attorneys tire culled upon to bi ve of 't.helr time to war
work more often thun other professions:

petition this Honorable 00r~nission to reduce occupational City License for
Attorneys to ~~15. 00, the amount whioh was charged by the Oi ty Commission during
the boom and therea:Cter until 1941. Respect~ully Submitted.

It appeared that the petition was incorroct in stating that the
Oocupational license tux for Jewelers, Photobraphers, Radio Shops, saw htlll,
Novelty Works, ~ccountants & Auditors and Hestaurants was reduced by Ordinance
#489 passed september 21, 1942. Howevor Urdillunce t~489 re-classi!'ied these
businesses.
