The City Commissioners of the City of Clearwater held
a meeting at 12: 00 0' c1ocl( noon at Sa-sser"s-'G-rli1 on

that Herbert Grice be appointed AS acting Y:8yor at this
meeting. Attending this meetinr, were the newly elected
Mayor-Cor~is8ioner, George R. Seavy and Cor.mlissioners,
Wm. Yiatson Clark, Su.'11l1er H. Lov..'e and. Jes~~e G. 8mi tho
The purpose of this meeting was to niscuss the possibi1iti~
of the Oity of Clearwater establishing a Uunicipo1 Air Port
on the property now o\'med by the City in the I..Iarymont SubdivisiOl
The City ~annger stated in order to do this it was necessary to
have some a~dition~l property and he had been offered the
NW~ of SW~, Section 12-29-15. Also the !JEi of SE~ and E Five
acres of SE~ of SE~ Section 11-29-15. }raking a total of 85
acres, for the sum of ~\5500. 00 and asl\:ed the Comiss ioners
if they thought it advisable to make this purchase. After
'considerable discussio~ the Com~issioners decided that an
Air Fort was of vi t?l irl'portence to the C1 ty of C1earv'nter and
the addition:;l lnnd should be purchased. I.:oved by l.!r.Norton,
seconded b~r Hr. Jempseyand carried, the Mayor, City Eanager
and City Att')rney be inntructed to proceed vd th the pu:rchase
of the above property.
