,MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE CITY COMMISSION,'
BUILDINGS and asked the oonsideration of passage or the
Ordinance, with the understanding that his olient will
pay all advertising oharges.
He also stated that the oities
of Gainesville and Vero Beaoh have similar ordinances and .
that St. Petersburg, Miami and JaoKsonville have more
stringent ordinances. Moved by Mr. Baker, seconded by Mr.
Peeler and unanim~usly carried that the Ordinanoe be passed
on its first reading.
~. Horace Roberts, representing all Florists in
Clearwater, asked if the Florists could be protec~ed from
peddlers who oome in from outside the City. The Mayor
stated that it is impossible ~o Keep anyone from taking
orders and delivering in the future. Mr. Roberts stated
that they were supposed to be taking orders now but that
anyone could buy from them on the streets and that this

Mayor suggested that the Florists' Committee oonter with
the City Attorney and work out some ordinanoe whioh will
be bene~ioial to them. Mr. Albert Dillard stated
that the Florists want an ordinanoe against peddlers. Mr.
Horaoe Roberts stated that Clearwater Florists pay the
City more than $ 1,200.00 per year in taxes and lioenses
wh1le the outsiders pay nothing or this kind.

that the City Auditor and Clerk is hereby authorized and
directed to cancel the said Waterworks Revenue Certificaates
numbers Seven (7) and Eight (8) and the said, Coupons
mentioned above on the records of the City of Clearwater
and to mutilate the Certificates and Coupons in suoh a
manner as to make tham null and void.
The Resolution passed and adopted by the City
Commission of the City of Clearwater, Florida, at its meeting
