Oi ty J\lanager rend a letter from the War Department indl-
catinp: that its 'report on channel dredging for BiB Pass was
unfavorable. City Manager was instructed to follow the matter
thro1.lP'll and keep the issue current.
Bids of various agencies on Liability Insurance on the
City's motor vehicles were read. Allbritton and Lee being the
low bidders. Moved by [r. Dempsey, seconded by Mr. Peeler and
carr ted that the bj.d of Allbritton and Lee ~ be ing the lowest
bid, be accepted.
Letter from Civil Service Board was read reporting that
patrolmen~ Newman and Iv.cClarml1a have passed examination and are
qualified to serve as class A patrolmen. No action was taken as
there is no provision for additj.onal class A patrolnlen at this time.
Moved by r;'r. Bal{er, seconded by rr. Dempsey and carried,
,that the City apply for purchase of Sta.te and County Certificates
on City owned property under the Vurphy Act.
It was pointed out to the City fuanager that the term of
theirecreational director expires on January 6 a.nd he was advised
