At tlle regu.lar meeting of the Board of Public. Recreation and Parks,
after considerable discussion regarding the program of the Parka
Department. it was the feeling of tne Board that the best interest
of ~e City could be served if the Parks Department were taken over
by ~e Ci~ Commission.
The fol1o'Wing motion to this effect was 1lla.de: Motion by Mr. Perkins,
seconded by Mr. Blair, that the Board of Public Recreation recommends
to the City COlIIIniss1on that the Parks Department be taken over by the
City Cammission. Motion carried.
The ~ollow1ng areas are not to be tncluded in the Parks Department:
Brook1~ Fie1d, Green Field, Belmont Park, City Park, Auditorium
grOttnds, Semlno1e Park and the colored athletic field.
