The City Commission of the City of Clearwater, Florida, met
on the above date, vrith the follotivinr; members present:

A letter from the Civil Service Board was read recommending `? ??? "`?'?? '-y??°? "?? '?'??
tl?.at Charles Alevrman and George Ic±cClarruna be promoted to Class B
Patrolmen. Approved by I.ir. Baler, seconder by 1?1r? Barry and carried
that Class B be reinstated at two men, at a salary of y;?100 per month
and that the recommendation of the Civil Service Board to promote
these two men be approved.
It ivas moved by I,Ir. Batchelor, seconded by Irir. Barry and
carrisd that the I??ayor appoint a corm;?ittee to confer vri th the Com-
mittee of the Beach Association with regard to Beach Groins. Also
that a committee be appointed on beach servers,
R"r. Taver Bailey addressed the Commission asJcing that the
CitsT Commission appropriate ;;2500 for temporary addition to the
Public Library. The matter eras deferred for further consideration.
Idr. R. h. Rogers addressed the Comr?ission relative to
liability insurance on City empl?vyees. It was moved by P?Jr. Barry,
seconded by P,ir. Batchelor and carrisd that I?ir, Nichols and D?Ir.
Polhill be appointed as a conn;?ittee to vrorlc out a plan for this
insurance.
It was moved by icir, Batchelor, seconded by I,ir. Barr?• and
carried that application far permit to build a filli.n? station at
the corner of Gulf-to-Bay Boulevard and the Coachman Road be ap-
proved.
