The City Commission of the City of Clearwater, Florida, met
on the above date, in regula meeting assembled~ with the following
members present:

Mr. C. E. Ware again addressed the Commission relative to
ope~ drainage ditch in Plaza Park. Moved b7 Mr. Marsh, seconded by
Mr. Batchelor and carried that the City Manager be authorized to
oall for contract bids to tile the ditch.
Mr. Ray Ulmer addressed the Commission asking reduction of
taxes on Lots 4 and 5 of Brookwood Terrace. The Commission agreed
to settle same for the sum of $465.79.
Request of the Library for an additional appropriation for
book racks was presented. Moved by Mr. Batchelor, seconded by Mr.
Barry and carried that the request be tabled.
Moved by Mr. Batchelor, seconded by Mr. Barry and carried
that the City Manager be authorized tr
'11 Lots,7, 8 and 9 Block
"E" of Navaj 0 Park to a city employee J. Ol~ $800.00.
Moved by Mr. Marsh, seconded by Mr. Batchelor and carried
tha t the C1 ty Manager be authorized to purchase two new trucks at
$1250.00.
Moved by Mr. Baker, seconded by Mr. Batchelor and carried
that city taxes and assessments against city owned properties be
cancelled, as follows:

Country Club Add. 98,146.67
Marymont 62,187.23
Mr. Batchelor introduced the following resolution:
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY C01UliISS ION OF THE CITY OF
CLEARWATER, FLORIDA, REMOVING A PORTION OF THE
SANITARY SEWER SYSTE:M ON CLEARWATER BEACH ISIA ND
FROM THE PWA PROJECT DOCKET FLORIDA 1106, FILED
WITH THE ACTING STATE DmECTOR.
WHEREAS ~ The City Co:rmn1ssion has filed with the PWA Acting
State Director a Clearwater Sanitary Sewer Project'on July 24, 1935,
and amended it on May 25, 1936, and the pressing and imperative need
of certain sections of Clearwater Beach Island has caused the Com-
mission to have filed a WPA Project for the installation of sewers
in this seotion.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED By the City Commission assembled
that tho plans for a sanitary sewer system on the most populous part
of Clearwater Beach Island as laid out by Mr. S. S. Bouis, City En-
gineer, under date of May 20, 1937, and identified as Sections 1, 2,
3 and 4 Clearwater Beach Island be withdrawn from the PWA Sewer Pro-
ject Docket 1106 for the City of Clearwater, if and when the WPA
authorizes and performs the work necessary to the construction of
these sewers.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Commission of the City of
Clearwater, Florida, this 21st day of June, A. D. 1937.

said resolution be adopted, and upon roll call the following vote

Whereupon the Mayor-Commissioner declared said resolution
unanimously adopted and signed the same.
There being no further business the meeting was thereupon
