The City Commission of the c~ty of Clearwater, Florida~ met on the above date as required by Charter. for the purpose of oanvassing the election held on December 15th, with the following members present: Ma~r-Commi8sioner R. E. Green. Commdss1oners J. A. Barry, R. L. Baker, and L. A. Marsh. ,. ~ .. ,\ ", ".1 ,. ""'?,,'. !: ; . Mr. Barry- introduced the following reso lut1.on: RESOLUTION. "WHEREAS, The City Connn1ssion of the City of Olearwater, F1orlda~ 1s charged by law with the duty of canvassing elections, and WHEREAS,' a general election for the election of a Mayor-Oo~8s1oner and two Commissioners to serve for a term of two years was held on December 15th, 1936, and WHEREAS, it appears that For Mayor-Commissioner R. E. Green For Comm1 ss ioner: D. O. Batchelor received 188 votes received 189 votes 184 votes L. A. Marsh received. THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that R. E. Green be and he is hereby declared duly elected to serve as Ma1Or-Oommissioner for a term of two years, and that D. O. BatcheJ.or and L. A. Marsh be and they are hereby declared duly elected to serve as City Oownissioners ~or a term of two years. Passed and adopted by the City Commission of the City of Clear- water, Florida, thia 16th day of December, A. D. 1936. It was ~ved by Mr. Barry ana second.ed by Mr. Baker that the resolution be adopted, and upon a roll. call the following vote was polled: Ayes: Mayor-Commissioner Green, Co~s5ioners Barry~ Baker and Marsh. . ..... Nays: None. Absent and not voting: Commissioner Batchelor. Whereupon the Mayor,declared the resolution duly" adopted and signed. the' same. It was moved by Mr. Barry, seconded by Mr. Baker and carried that the work of assessing property for taxes in the City be turned over to Mr. Satterfield, in his capacity as ex of~icio tax assessor, and Mr. Batchelor be requested to sit in VI1.th Mr. Satterfield in the matter 01' val- uations.
