The members of the Oity Commission of the City of Clearwater, Florida,
met on the above date, with the following members present:

Moved by Mr. Marsh, seoonded by~. Batchelor and oarried that the
proper officials be authorized to sign lease with Z. H. Patterson for
property on Clearwater Beaoh, adjoining property leased to Douglas Bailey.
Mr. Barry voted no.
Moved by Mr. Batohelor, seoonded by Mr. Baker and oarried tha t the City
Manager be empowered put gas rates into efreot, to extend optional gas
rate to inolude oustomers using gas refrigerators; also to establish a
heating rate of 90~ per thousand oubio feet of gas for oentral heating
systems, with the requirement that $15.00 be paid in advance to guarantee
that lI1Uch usage of gas for the. season, and a deposit of $10.00 011 meter.
Separate meter to be required ror oentral heating, in order to seoure this
rate.
~~. Marsh introduced the following Resolution:
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CITY MANAGER TO
MAKE ADDITIONAL EXPENDITURES FOR PWA PROJEOT
1202-2-R
~, it 1s to the best interests of the city to provide the additional
purifying and other eqaipment neoessary to complete the work at the gas
plant and put it into operatab1e condition so as to be able to use the new
e~ipment now being provided under PWAcontract,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED
FIRST: That the oity manager be instructed to request the Aoting state
Direotor of PWA for authorization to use the $12,000.00 of extra revenue
oertifioates provided Under the project l202-2-R for the purpose of
guaranteeing the total construction of the gas plant work now under con-
trac~; for the purpose of financing the construotion cost of the purifying
system, etc. required to oomplete the gas plant.
SECOND: BE IT RESOLVED that thecity manager be instructed to prooeed with
the installation of the neoessary purifyirg and other equ~pment required
to complete the gas plant, the cost of which is to be provided out of tunds
obta~ned from private sale of the certificates above referred to.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Oommission of the City of Clearwater, Florida
this the 26th 'day of October, A. D. 1936.

ment on taxes on Mille propert7 be referrod to the Tax Oo~nittee
for investigation and report baok to Commission.
